Shirley C. Caines is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in human resources, financial administration, and organizational leadership. As Co-Founder and Vice President/Treasurer of PNHSA, she plays a vital role in connecting African Diaspora communities across the Dutch Caribbean and advancing education around the legacy of slavery. Sirelda Jackson

Sirelda Jackson is a seasoned Pan-African activist and social worker with nearly 40 years of experience supporting communities of African and Caribbean descent. Her work spans trauma recovery, youth counseling, and community empowerment, with a strong focus on addressing the legacy of slavery and intergenerational trauma. As Co-Founder and President of PNHSA, she has played a key role in promoting awareness, education, and healing related to Dutch slavery history. Sonny Richardson, also known as The Rootsam Sonny, is a passionate advocate for cultural heritage and community empowerment in Aruba. Marlien dokman

Marilen Dokman, born in Commewijne, Suriname, is a dedicated educator and cultural advocate who has spent over 28 years teaching in Aruba. With deep roots in Surinamese heritage and a passion for preserving the memory of Black slavery, she is a co-founder and board member of PNHSA, where she works to honor her ancestors and empower descendants of enslaved people. Her lifelong mission bridges education, remembrance, and community development—discover more about her story and impact.

Sharina Gumbs is a multidisciplinary abstract artist and social impact leader from Aruba with nearly 30 years in the social field. As cofounder and past President of PNHSA, and founder of Soul2Soul – Mindful Art and Soul Harmony Foundation, she empowers communities through art, heritage, and healing.
