Join the vibrant cultural celebration “Art & Heritage Fusion” on January 26th and 27th, 2025 in St. Martin. This two-day event, part of the “Heritage Through Art & Dialogue” project and funded by DutchCulture, merges art, history, and storytelling to explore Caribbean heritage and migration.
Day 1 & 2 (Art Exhibition)
Held at Axum Art Café in Philipsburg, the event showcases artworks by Sharina Gumbs, accompanied by powerful monologues performed by Luciana Raspail and Audrey “Saby” Claxton, based on a script by playwright Stephie Gumbs.
Day 2 Evening (Discussion Panel)
Hosted at the University of St. Martin, the discussion highlights Caribbean heroes and migration stories. Speakers include Sharina Gumbs, moderator Drs. Cadula Jones, and panelist Stephie Gumbs, with a special video interview featuring Drs. Leon Berenos.
